Welcome to Steeped in Mindfulness. My name is Melissa B. Lombardo, author, speaker, advocate and founder of Write, Heal, Thrive®. This site however is about me as a person in this world on a journey to become more present in my body and with the world around me.
Steeped in Mindfulness grows directly from the heart of Write, Heal, Thrive®. Where Write, Heal, Thrive® began as a response to my own healing journey after surviving sexual violence, Steeped in Mindfulness is an ongoing companion, a space where I continue to write, heal, and thrive, while exploring how those practices ripple outward into everyday life.
Founded in 2023, Write, Heal, Thrive® was born from my decision to speak my truth, to share my story, and to walk alongside others navigating their own paths of healing and self-discovery. Steeped in Mindfulness takes that mission further, blending reflective writing, mindful living, tea rituals, travel experiences, and heart-centered insights into a space where creativity and healing converge. This blog began as tea and mindfulness postings on my personal social media account and grew.
Through this blog, I share my continued journey of presence, curiosity, and growth, not just as a survivor or an author, but as someone who believes in the power of reflection, self-awareness, and intentional living. Here, you my dear readers are invited to pause, observe, and explore alongside me: to taste the richness of a simple tea ritual, to notice lessons embedded in travel, and to embrace writing and reflection as tools for inner transformation.
These short mindful musings on this site are reflections and writings inspired by my everyday life, travel, tea rituals, and personal experiences. They become small yet pivotal moments where I pause, notice, and explore thoughts, emotions, and surroundings with awareness and compassion.
Intentional Travel for example, is all about taking journeys while being mindful and present in each moment while my favorite past-time, Tea fits naturally with Steeped in Mindfulness. For me, drinking tea is a necessary pause and a sensory experience aligned with mindfulness, intentionality, reflection, and joy.
Steeped in Mindfulness is both a personal practice and a shared journey, a place where healing, creativity, and thriving meet, and where the ongoing act of writing becomes an invitation to connect with your own inner voice.
